How measurement works
Publsh prices and reports ads on viewer-seconds: the live audience watching, multiplied by the seconds your ad was actually on screen.
The two inputs
- Audience: how many people were watching. This comes from the streaming platform, as Kick or Twitch reports it.
- Seconds on screen: how long the ad rendered. This comes from the Publsh overlay that draws the ad.
Kick and Twitch
Delivery is measured on Kick from the serving side, and estimated on Twitch as metering rolls out. Every number is labelled with how it was known, so an estimate is never shown as a measurement.
What the labels mean
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Measured | Recorded directly from what the overlay served. |
| Estimated | Calculated, for example on Twitch while metering rolls out. |
| Computed | Worked out from other numbers, such as delivered value. |
| Advertiser-reported | Entered by the brand, such as promo code redemptions. |
A number with no data behind it shows —. We do not fill gaps with guesses.
